If there was ever an ideal location to stage a triathlon event, then the Warmseal Northumberland triathlon will be top of the list. Located within the stunning Druridge Bay Country Park and situated on the beautiful Northumbrian coastline. This is the perfect venue for a great day out racing.

The swim will be in the warm shallow freshwater Ladyburn Lake set within the park grounds. The bike route will take you out of the Country Park along a beautiful coastal route and the run will be a multi-lap route on the footpath that winds its way through the woods and meadows that surround the lake.

The Warmseal Northumberland triathlon is a successful and enjoyable event attracting a wide range of competitors from all abilities. It is very well suited to beginners, equally attractive to seasoned competitors and those Competitors wishing to move up from sprint to standard distance. The standard of racing will be competitive but fun and spectators will be out in force to cheer competitors on, providing a truly amazing atmosphere. An ideal race in your open water triathlon season!

The Warmseal Northumberland triathlon is located right next to the stunning Druridge bay, on a beautiful stretch of Northumberland coastline. The Country Park is a popular place to cycle, run, swim, walk, paddle, surf and is perfect for a fun family day out, but why not make a family weekend or day of it?

The Country park comprises of a café, Visitors centre, outdoor children’s play area, sheltered picnic areas and camping and motor home facilities for you to enjoy and relax. The famous fish n’ chip`s from the fishing village of Amble are only 3 miles away, the historic Warkworth Castle is 5 miles, or you could just visit the beautiful Northumberland coastal villages along the coastline, taking in all that Northumberland has to offer. Newcastle city centre is approximately 20 miles South.

The minimum age for the Sprint Distance is 15 years old on 31st December 2021, and for the Standard Distance event is 17 years old on 31st December 2021. Please note that all Youths (under 16 on 31st December 2021) must hand in a signed parental consent form at registration.
